Great Souls, Complex Flows, and the Soul of a Flow

K.R. Sreenivasan is presently Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and the Dean of the New York University Tandon School of Engineering; with joint appointments at NYU’s Department of Physics and the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. He was, between 2003 and 2009, the Director of International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy. Driven by a deep desire to unravel the mysteries of fluid flow, Sreenivasan remains active as ever, studying flows ranging from the everyday to the exotic, and in scales ranging from the smallest to the largest.
