Dr. Shizhu Liu's work focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence, data analytics, higher education, and professional readiness. At NYU Tandon, she teaches Business Analytics and Data Visualization for Business Intelligence, while leading curriculum initiatives that integrate emerging technologies with business education and industry practice. Her research explores AI literacy, workforce transformation, and access and equity in higher education. She is a co-founder of the BRIDGE AI Lab, a cross-institutional research network connecting higher education and industry.
Dr. Liu brings a strong background in quantitative research and applied data science, including predictive modeling and risk analytics in the reinsurance industry. Previously, she was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Mathematics at NYU Courant, where she also directed the M.S. in Mathematics in Finance Summer Bootcamp, developing intensive programs in quantitative skills, programming, communication, and career readiness. Her work reflects a longstanding commitment to preparing students for careers in technology, analytics, and finance.
