Gad M. Landau received his B.S, Ms and Ph.D in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, Israel. He has worked in the areas Serial and parallel algorithms for problems related to strings, Computational biology and Data Structures. He has published journal papers in several of these areas, and his work has been supported by grants from the NSF, ISF, BSF, IBM, Yahoo and DFG. Currently he is working on cache-oblivious structures, RNA Structure Alignment and Edit distance approximation.
