Associate Chair for Education in CSE
Daniel is an Industry Professor and the director of undergraduate programs for the CSE department. Daniel teaches a number of courses including Introduction to Programming and Problem Solving, Data Structures and Algorithms, Object Oriented Programming, Java programming, Computer Networking and others. Daniel rarely does research, however when he does, the focus is on ways to provide efficient knowledge transfer in computer science related courses including CS1/CS2 and cybersecurity related content. Daniel’s prior experience in industry focuses on software development in C, C++, PHP and Java as well as computer networking in the IPv4 and IPv6 fields.
