Richard Fishbein

T. Richard Fishbein was a Partner (retired) of Cortec Group, a private equity investment firm targeting manufacturing, distribution and service companies with revenues of $50-$300 million. Prior to joining Cortec, Mr. Fishbein held the position of Partner in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Co. He has served on Boards of both public and private corporations. Mr. Fishbein holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an AB degree, Magma Cum Laude, from Dartmouth College and completed a one-year fellowship at the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University in Bologna, Italy. He serves as a Member of the Council of the National Academy Museum; Director of the Japanese Art Society of America; taught a course on “Corporations and Public Policy” at the New School; and has published several articles on business subjects in academic and business journals. Mr. Fishbein is married to Dr. Estelle P. Bender, a psychiatrist in private practice and faculty member of Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia Psychoanalytic Center. They have one daughter, Dr. Melissa Bender.
