Diego Pozo chose to pursue his master’s in mechatronics and robotics, with a concentration in mobile robotics, at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering because of the top-tier faculty and academics.
Throughout his coursework, Diego has developed a number of hands-on projects, including a zoomorphic microphone for an art exhibition and a fire-detecting robot designed to assist firefighters when battling a blaze. While developing these projects, he worked with clients to identify their problems, determine a solution, and incorporate that solution into a working prototype.
Looking ahead, Diego is excited to immerse himself in the variety of cutting-edge labs at NYU Tandon, including the Agile Robotics and Perception Lab and the Control/Robotics Research Lab.
Diego knows he made the right decision in attending NYU Tandon. “Studying toward a graduate degree is about much more than just the courses,” he says. “The career and social opportunities that come with being a part of such a resourceful community are priceless, as well as the entire experience of living in such a vast and diverse environment that is NYU and New York City.”
