Graduate Student Employment and Training (GSET) Program

GSET is NYU Tandon's on-campus employment program for graduate students, designed to support our philosophy of invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

With more than 400 positions available, GSET is a valuable resource that can help you find the right employment on campus. You'll have the option to work as a tutor, a lab assistant, or in an administrative capacity at NYU Tandon.

The GSET program bridges the gap between academia and the professional world by helping graduate students:

  • Establish professional skills
  • Enhance problem-solving abilities
  • Create strong foundations for successful careers
  • Learn about business ethics
  • Understand cutting-edge technology
  • Develop an entrepreneurial spirit

Most of our on-campus employment opportunities allow for up to 20 hours a week of work and pay $28.25 per hour.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the GSET program, you must be a full-time graduate student at NYU Tandon with no current employment. After your first semeseter, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 to retain your GSET position.

How to Apply

Speak to your academic advisor, check the NYU Wasserman About On-Campus Employment page or visit Handshake for a listing of available positions and application instructions. Please note: It is each department's individual responsibility to allocate any open positions they have posted.
