Dr. Michael Horodniceanu Memorial Fund

The Dr. Michael Horodniceanu Memorial Fund honors the legacy of Dr. Horodniceanu, a distinguished civil engineer and former President of MTA Capital Construction. He made significant contributions to New York City's transportation infrastructure. The fund supports a fellowship for a promising Civil Urban Engineering student at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, fostering the next generation of leaders in the field.


Bud Griffis Memorial Fund

The Bud Griffis Memorial Fund honors the legacy of Bud Griffis, a distinguished military engineer and educator. Griffis, who served in the Army Corps of Engineers and contributed to numerous critical projects, was a passionate advocate for education. He oversaw the SAME New York City Post Scholarship Fund, which has provided millions in scholarships to engineering and architecture students, including many from NYU Tandon. Your contributions will continue his mission of supporting future engineers.


NYU Concrete Canoe

The NYU Tandon Concrete Canoe Team educates students on design, teamwork, and leadership through constructing a concrete canoe for the ASCE competition. They recently achieved their best results, placing fifth nationally. Funds are needed for competition expenses such as transportation and meals. Support helps the team grow and succeed.


NYU Steel Bridge

NYU Steel Bridge, a student-led project, competes in the National Student Steel Bridge Competition. They design and build a 23-foot steel bridge that must carry 2500 pounds with minimal deflection. Contributions help purchase materials, service machines, and cover travel expenses for the competition at the University of San Diego. The Steel Bridge team placed 2nd overall at the 2024 regional competition.Supporters can donate at various levels to aid in their preparation and competition.
