The Clean Energy Transition
Enhancing Customer Engagement to Increase Clean Energy Transition
- La-Toya Niles, Clean Energy Program Design Section Manager, Consolidated Edison Company
Abstract
This Con Edison-sponsored capstone project aims to analyze customer cost sensitivity to clean energy projects and financial incentives on program adoption rates. The project seeks to evaluate the adoption rate across customer profiles and geographic regions, i.e., small business, commercial, residential, multifamily buildings, and disadvantaged communities (DAC) and Non-DAC areas, to understand how to set the right economic incentive to increase the number of buildings transitioning to clean energy in Con Edison’s service territory. The success of clean energy programs depends on effective customer engagement strategies, and the seamless adoption of energy-efficient practices by diverse customer segments.
