Abstract
Together with our community partner, the Red Hook Initiative, this project aims to develop the methods, processes, and data tools to bridge urban environmental sensing, data analytics, and data-driven knowledge discovery to inform and empower local residents and community organizations to take evidence-based action on climate change and environmental justice. Focusing on Red Hook, Brooklyn, this is a hands-on project that will engage students in all aspects of urban informatics and the real-world challenges in using data for local climate action and advocacy.
