Researchers Find Vulnerabilities in MirrorLink System for Connected Cars


A group of researchers, for the first time, have found vulnerabilities in MirrorLink — a system that allows vehicles to communicate with smartphones. According to the researchers from New York University Tandon School of Engineering — which was established after an Indian-American couple gifted $100 million to the New York University School of Engineering — today’s automobiles leave the factory with prototype software features that are disabled but can be unlocked by clever drivers.
