Get your newsroom ready to incorporate technologies that include artificial intelligence to support and grow all aspects of your news operation. AI & Local News Initiative Partner Associated Press will walk you through how to build a technology strategy across newsgathering, production, distribution and business operations. Join this free, online course series starting April 13. The course offerings include both live and on-demand sessions, based on findings from our research with local U.S. newsrooms in 2021.

The course includes: 

• Live guest speaker sessions (also available on demand).

• Live facilitated workshop discussions with personalized guidance.

• How-to videos of technology demonstrations and news applications.

• Office hours on Fridays from 1–2 p.m. EDT for free-form support during the course weeks

The online course series and live session participation is designed for U.S. local newsrooms. International access to our session recordings and how-to videos will begin in mid-May.
