PSHS student invents device for the visually impaired

Vaughn Matthew Valle, who will join NYU Tandon this upcoming fall studying electrical and computer engineering, has created a device to help visually impaired people navigate their way around their environment and perform everyday tasks. "Helping blind people live the lives that we live is not just about guiding them from point A to point B — it's about being there when they need something. It's about using technology to aid our relations. It's about companionship," said Valle.
