Professor Volkan Otugen Elected Fellow of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers

Professor Volkan Otugen was elected Fellow of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers for his significant engineering achievements and contributions to the engineering profession. Prof. Otugen has served ASME in a number of ways over the past 17 years. He has recently completed his term as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Fluids Engineering and is currently a member of the Honors and Awards Committee of the Fluids Engineering Division. Prior to this, he was the chair of the ASME’s Fluid Mechanics Technical Committee. Professor Otugen received the Ralph Teetor award for excellence in education in 1993 and is a Fulbright Fellow. He is also an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Professor Otugen received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from Drexel University in 1986.” |
