Precision at the nanoscale: 3D sculpting with NanoFrazor ft. Elisa Riedo
Professor Elisa Riedo discusses her pioneering work in thermal scanning probe lithography, which uses a heated "magic pen" to create 3D nanoscale structures and is now commercialized as the Nanofrazer. "You can use your pen like a scalpel... with almost atomic scale precision, you can have your hot pen…create whatever 3D structure that you want," explains Riedo. She's now applying this technology to develop medical diagnostic devices.
