Poly Faculty Advances the Field of Technology Management Education


On June 5-6, 2006, five faculty members and three PhD students joined about 100 other Technology Management professionals from education and industry at the annual TMEDA Technology Management Workshop - Technology Management Education: Thriving in a World of Challenge and Change. The Technology Management Education Association (TMEDA) is an organization of technology management professionals from academia and industry with the purpose of exchanging ideas to enhance education in the technology management field. This year's workshop, held at Stevens Institute of Technology, featured speakers from CISCO Systems, Inc., Wipro Technologies, and distinguished academic institutions.Among those participating in the program of events were Polytechnic's Chair of the Department of Management, Mel Horwitch; Co-Director of the Executive Master's Programs, Nina Ziv; and Associate Professor and Director of the Ph.D. Program in Technology Management, Bharat Rao. In addition, the International Journal for Technology and Innovation Management Education, a new journal co-edited by Mel Horwitch and Shlomo Maital of the Technion Institute of Management, was introduced at the workshop.
