NYU Wireless, Professor Rappaport, speaks about the advent of 6G

Professor Theodore (Ted) Rappaport, is a professor at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, founder of the leading academic research center NYU WIRELESS, and was the first to demonstrate the potential of the millimeter radio wave spectrum. Professor Rappaport has some comments on the race to 6G. The FCC chairman invited Professor Rappaport to now explain the technology behind the even shorter, terahertz, spectrum. ...  On March 15, 2019 Professor Rappaport addressed the FCC Open Commission Meeting as commissioners met to consider adopting rules to make available 21.2 gigahertz of spectrum above 95 GHz for unlicensed operations and create a new class of experimental licenses for the 95 GHz to 3 THz spectrum range.
