Let’s head over to Brooklyn now, where we’ll wrap things up, where some students did some innovative learning of a different kind. A new program is challenging students to come up with solutions to everyday problems no one else has figured out yet. These kids are our future leaders, and over the last five weeks they’ve been figuring out how to address all kinds of different issues. Some of the prototypes to come out of NYU [Tandon School of Engineering]’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the Science of Smart Cities program include a way to notify strap-hangers which subway cars are less crowded.
