New York University's Tandon School of Engineering will begin its move into 370 Jay St. during the next month, marking the completion of a $350 million renovation of the 13-story former Metropolitan Transportation Authority building in Downtown Brooklyn. Unofficially, the move signals NYU's emergence as a potential tech powerhouse more than four decades after it shut down its engineering school in the midst of a financial crisis.
