NYC's massive Link5G towers aren't actually providing 5G (yet)

NYC's Link5G towers, meant to provide high-speed Internet access particularly to underserved neighborhoods, are facing significant delays. Only two out of nearly 200 towers have 5G equipment installed, with major carriers hesitant to participate. Despite setbacks and industry-wide 5G pullbacks, CityBridge, the tech firm that is installing the towers, remains hopeful. David Lee/Ernst Weber Professor and Founding Director of NYU WIRELESS Theodore (Ted) S. Rappaport  supports the initiative, stating, "If you build it, they will come," suggesting carriers may eventually utilize the infrastructure once it's fully established.
