New York Urban Future Lab launches smart grid startup competition


Smart grid innovators are being called to New York City to help build out the future of smart cities.

The "Urban Future Competition" officially launched at the New York Energy Week conference taking place this week, hoping to attract smart grid startups to the city with "transformative business solutions for global urban energy and sustainability challenges." Two winners, one in a Smart Cities category and one in Smart Grid, will each be awarded $25,000 and given a chance to connect with Smart Grid teams at utility companies in New York.
