New York Aiming to Be the Country’s Cybersecurity Hub

The city has attracted several Israeli firms in recent months


New York City is pushing to become the country’s cybersecurity hub, and has attracted several firms in recent months with a $30 million initiative. … New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has promised to create 10,000 cybersecurity jobs over the next decade. To get to there, the city announced in November that it is establishing a so-called Cyber Center which will house an accelerator for startups. … New York University Tandon School of Engineering, in partnership with the city, announced earlier this month that it will offer an online cybersecurity master’s degree program.
