This Map of Startups and Investors is Trying to Lower the Barrier to Entry for Getting Into the Tech World

VentureApp released a map yesterday of all Brooklyn startups who’ve been funded by Brooklyn investors.
The map, while a great deal skimpier than its Manhattan version, is nonetheless an interesting way of understanding the lay of the land in the Brooklyn tech world.
“The innovation economy can be very exclusive to outsiders,” said Chase Garbarino, the CEO of the Boston-based VentureApp, in a statement. “We think mapping tech ecosystems on top of a chat platform makes entering a massive community like New York City much easier and more actionable for professionals and founders.”
