Kurt Becker Appointed Technical Chair of 2017 Conference for Plasma Science Experts

NYU Tandon Vice Dean for Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Physics Professor Kurt Becker was appointed technical chair of the 44th IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS), to be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, May 21-25, 2017.

ICOPS is an annual conference organized by the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Science Societies, which provides a forum for more than 600 scientists and engineers from all over the world to present recent advances in plasma science and technology and discuss future directions. The technical chair has responsibility for all aspects of the scientific program, which covers a diverse range of topics that include basic plasma physics, microwave plasmas, charged particle beams, high density plasmas, pulsed power as well as industrial and medical plasma applications.
