"I currently work in civic tech, designing digital tools that help city governments provide better social services. I ended up in tech after working as a criminal defense attorney in New York for a number of years. My interest in tech grew out of a desire to improve and modernize our justice system.
A few months later, I ran into an old friend, Luke DuBois, who had just recently been appointed the director of a digital media program housed within NYU Engineering School."
