Facebook AI Chief Yann LeCun Says Machines Are Decades Away From Matching the Human Brain

Robots aren’t going to take over the world — at least, not anytime soon, says Yann LeCun, director of artificial intelligence research at Facebook Inc.
Despite AI’s seeming pervasiveness in almost every industry, Dr. LeCun says researchers are still decades away from building machines that can match the intelligence of humans. Even less probable is the Hollywood-like idea that nefarious robots will be unleashed on humanity.
