EXCLUSIVE: City Launching Summer STEM Classes for Underserved Students; They'll Tackle Coding, Video Game Design and More


City schools boss Carmen Fariña is kicking off a slew of new summer classes focused on the white-hot fields of science, technology engineering and math - better known as STEM.

Fariña will outline the public schools’ new STEM Summer in the City classes in a Wednesday speech at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering in downtown Brooklyn.

STEM Summer in the City offers free, five-week STEM classes in a variety of high-tech topics to students from underserved areas.
