A massive donation will help secure New York City’s place in the vanguard of the technology and engineering economy that’s central to 21st-century success.
Whether or not their paychecks come from a high-tech company, New Yorkers should say thank you to Chandrika and Ranjan Tandon.
The couple, who earned their wealth in financial services, have given $100 million to New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering, an academic start-up created by the merger of NYU and Brooklyn’s Polytechnic University.
