Startups get sustainable help at new biz lab


New York City spends about $15 billion a year on energy. It’s a staggering sum and one the city is actively trying to streamline through an ongoing series of initiatives focused on energy efficiency and sustainability.Last month, the New York City Economic Development Corp., in partnership with New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering and Forest City Ratner, opened NYC Urban Future Lab, an incubator for “clean tech” startup companies.
