Color-perception-guided display power reduction for virtual reality
A team led by Qi Sun, assistant professor at NYU Tandon, is trying to figure out how to limit power usage by VR devices while maintaining high latency and graphical fidelity. The result will be devices that maintain high VR standards, but won't drain your battery so quickly.
