Cláudio Silva, mathematician: 'We use artificial intelligence to increase human intelligence' (Translated)

Interview with Claudio Silva, professor of computer science and engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

In Rio for training at FGV, a professor at New York University evaluates how technology transforms data consumption. “The first urban problem that my group tackled was New York's taxi system. There are about 200 million trips per year. So, we developed tools to deal with this data, now used by the Department of Transportation to assist in analysis. The technique increases the ability of people to find answers.”
