This app lets you track your girlfriend’s period … but why??

This is one strange new app. Period.
Named “Shvrk” and pronounced “Shark” — its designers say the “v” is “an inverted A for Vajayjay” — the app allows people to track their lovers’ time of the month.
It’s the brainchild of New York University grad student Monica Raffaelli, 26, who says she wants to end the awkward conversations couples have over menstruation.
