Fall 2021 Remote Classes
We are excited to welcome everyone back to campus in person this Fall. Because it is our hope that every student is on campus, and courses will be designed primarily for in-person learning, accommodations for remote access will be limited. That said, we recognize that public health concerns in certain areas, visa restrictions and delays, and flight scarcity may make getting to campus difficult for some students.
If you are encountering issues with on-time arrival for Fall, please email Dean Peter Voltz at voltz@nyu.edu.
We are adapting courses so you can begin or continue your Tandon educational experience while we await your arrival. You can find a list of remote accommodations by department and related registration guidance below — note there are two tabs, one for graduate students and one for undergraduates. Please work with your advisors to register for the correct sections and formats; if you plan to arrive after the add/drop deadline of September 15th, you should register only for courses on this list unless you get a specific exemption. For continuing students who have already registered, you may need to revisit your course registration based on which courses will have remote access options. Students who are planning for a late arrival need to be enrolled in at least one in-person/blended course for the fall semester. Please note modes and meeting patterns are still being updated, and may change — check Albert for most up-to-date information when you register.

Please note, this option is only available to students who cannot enter the U.S. due to circumstances beyond their control. If you do start remotely, we strongly encourage you to try to make it to campus within 30 days of the start of your classes (that means by 9/14 for Finance & Risk Engineering, and by 10/1 for all other departments).
