Join us for an in-person networking and candid fireside chat featuring Renée Leibler (Stern '19), President of the NYU Blockchain Society, and Ayesha Kiani, Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. They will discuss fintech, crypto, blockchain regulations, and new developments in the space. After the event, there will also be an opportunity to continue the conversation at the Pubkey Bitcoin bar in the West Village and learn more about what's happening in the blockchain and crypto ecosystem!

Speakers:

Renée Leibler (Stern MBA '19), President of the NYU Blockchain Society

Renée is the Founding and General Partner of Harmonic Chain, a blockchain and digital asset fund focused exclusively on the emerging technologies driving the Web3 ecosystem. The firm focuses on technologies and infrastructure which support and promote the successful adoption of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, driving the emergence of next-generation businesses utilizing distributed computing. In addition, she brings over 15 years of experience in the tech startup space as an entrepreneur. Renée Leibler is the Founder and President of the NYU Blockchain Society, which she established in 2017. She also is a co-organizer of BitdevsNYC promoting the democratization of education in the blockchain space.

Renée Leibler is an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Stevens Institute of Technology, where she teaches various courses in blockchain technologies, NFTs, the Metaverse, and entrepreneurship. She holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business specializing in Entrepreneurship and Finance and a B.A. in Psychology from Case Western Reserve University.

 

Ayesha Kiani, Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering

Ayesha Kiani is the Chief Operating Officer of LedgerPrime. She is also a Faculty Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering where she's teaching and researching on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology. Previously, Ayesha was a Managing Director for Republic Crypto, where she successfully led Republic’s fundraising efforts for its Security Token presale. Before Republic, Ayesha was an early employee of Consensys, within SingularDTV. She is currently an Investor Board Member at Ventures for America and a Venture Partner at NextGen Ventures.
