For NYU Community

Dear Students,

Please join us Tues, April 9 for lunch with Tandon alum Jeff Lee. Jeff has over 20 years of traditional and alternative investment experience. He is currently a partner of Middlemark, a boutique financial services firm that helps alternative asset managers and institutional investors achieve their goals by raising capital and providing advisory services. Clients include large pension funds and award-winning money managers.

Before joining Middlemark, Jeff co-founded a STEAM enrichment program that grew to 14 locations in the greater New York area. Jeff was also with Nikko Asset Management as the Head of Alternative Investments and thus responsible for establishing a hedge fund of funds and external manager business that grew to over $30 billion in eight years. Across his career, Jeff has avoided significant hedge fund blow-ups including Bernard Madoff, Mother Rock, and Amaranth – potentially saving investors over $4 billion; as a proprietary trader, Jeff generated 25% returns with various investment banks. He has strong quantitative knowledge, the ability to simplify complex scenarios, and extensive client-facing experience, especially in Asia.

Jeff earned an MBA from NYU Stern, an MS in Electrical Engineering from NYU Tandon, and through a dual degree, a BS in Computer Science from NYU College of Arts & Science and BE in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union. Jeff also holds two patents related to super-computers from his days at IBM.

Spaces are limited. If you're interested in joining this lunch, please send an email and a short statement about your interests and career plans to Associate Dean Steve Sagner (ss4923@nyu.edu) by 5 pm on Mon, April 1.
