We invite you to join the Office of Student Affairs for our Spring Spotlight Series event entitled “Nevertheless WE Persisted.”
Dr. Laura Bottomley, Director of the Women in Engineering and the Engineering Place at NC State University, will be joining us for a lively discussion around her research on assessing Grit in engineering students. For our first-year students, Grit will seem familiar to you as your first-year dialogue selection, Grit: The Power of Passion & Perseverance by Angela Ducksworth. This event is in conjunction with that curriculum but is open to our entire Tandon community. A light dinner will be served.
