NYC Office of Environmental Remediation Turbo Training
The Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation provides TurboTraining certification to update consultants on techniques to efficiently navigate the City Voluntary Cleanup Program and E-Designation program.
TurboTraining is designed to help seasoned consultants that are already familiar wi1h the VCP develop precise investigation reports, cleanup plans, and final closure reports to speed review and approval., and to help you perform Phase 2 studies 1hat are suitable for enrollment and closeout in the VCP. This year we will also introduce OER's new EPIC (Environmental Project Information Center) portal for document submission and project management and communication.
OER is grateful to NYU's Tandon School of Engineering and the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering for providing support for this program.
This is also an opportunity for students to network with leading Environmental Industry and to gain insight into the work of the remediation field. Below is the invitation; There is no charge for the program; Participants must register. with NYC OER Office.
Further, the Mayor's Office has opened the application period for spring internships. Students or recent graduates who would like to apply to a 10-week internship with the Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation between January 9 and May 26, 2017 should submit an application at http://on.nyc.gov/nycmointernship. We generally look for students of geology or engineering. A further description is attached. The application deadline is November 13, 2016. Kindly share this announcement with students and alumni.
