Innovention is a competition designed to challenge NYU students to validate, prototype, and pitch commercially viable ideas for real world needs and problems. The goal is to build a robust culture of competition at the School of Engineering that drives innovation through ideation and entrepreneurship. We encourage students to take part in the NYU Entrepreneur’s Challenge and NYU Summer LaunchPad. InnoVention reaches every student, providing resources like workshops, legal office hours, and incredible mentors (including prototyping money) to dedicate student-led startups. Ultimately the grand prize team is awarded $7,000 to make their dreams a reality!

During Team Hunt, teams will pitch ideas and needs while students looking to join teams will showcase their skills. Time will be given in-between to formulate a team and take the first steps in idea vetting techniques.
