PREPARE FOR YOUR FUTURE
You are invited to join the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering for a four-week, three credit summer course: Web Design. This course will cover basic concepts and techniques of World Wide Web design and publishing with a focus on the visual organization of content and interface design.
MORE ABOUT WEB DESIGN
This course is designed for high school students wanting to learn more about designing for the Web. Students will learn HyperText Markup Language (HTML) - the code structure underneath the Web pages; Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) the presentation layer of the web; and JavaScript, a language for controlling behavior on web pages.
THE CURRICULUM
Classes begin Monday, July 7th and end on Friday, August 15th. Classes meet for lab on Monday and Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Tuesdays and Fridays for recitation, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Please note: we are offering a morning class and an afternoon class. Please be sure to sign up for the class that works best with your schedule.)
COSTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

ADMISSION PROCESS
This course is offered as a part of the NYU Precollege program. Students interested in taking this course must apply to NYU Precollege. If admitted to the program, students may view the course information in the NYU Precollege course search, including instructions on how to apply to take Introduction to Engineering and Design by submitting a course application to the School of Engineering. Students approved to take the course will be registered in the course by the School of Engineering. Only students admitted to both NYU Precollege and to the course may be enrolled in the course.
