First Lego League
FLL introduces 9 to 14 year-old students to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete a variety of tasks that simulate real-life technological challenges.
In the 2012-13 Senior Solutions Challenge, over 150 teams in NYC will explore the topic of improving the quality of life for seniors by helping them continue to be independent, engaged, and connected in their communities. In the Senior Solutions Challenge, teams will build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO(r) MINDSTORMS(r) NXT to solve a set of missions as well as research, develop, and share their innovative "senior solutions". Throughout their experience, teams will operate under FLL's signature set of Core Values.
