The Civil Engineer Corps are officers in charge of engineering, management, planning,
construction and maintenance of the Navy and Marine Corps’ shore facilities worldwide.

-Construction Management: As a junior officer, you can expect to oversee and gain experience managing multi-million dollar contracts. You’ll review designs and prepare, solicit and award contract bid packages.
You’ll supervise construction, identify problems and devise solutions in the field.

-Facilities Maintenance: Operate and maintain complex facilities and utilities systems at Navy and Marine Corps bases, to include planning, budgeting, scheduling and execution.

-Construction Battalions: You will have the opportunity to oversee crews of Seabees (enlisted
constructionmen) on projects all over the world ranging from humanitarian assistance, disaster recovery, contingency construction, and in support of the Global War on Terror.
