All alumni and parents are invited to join Dr. Jason Hsuan '75 (宣建生博士), Professor H. Jonathan Chao, and Vice President Barbara Noseworthy for a special gathering to learn more about the exciting research happening in Brooklyn, and to hear first-hand how NYU-Poly is poised on the verge of transformation.
Dr. Jason Hsuan (宣建生博士), graduated from Polytechnic in 1975 with PhD in Systems Engineering. He is the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at TPV Technology Limited (冠捷科技集團), a leading display solutions provider, specializing in design and production of a wide spectrum of CRT monitors, TFT-LCD monitors and flat TVs. Dr. Hsuan was recently awarded the NYU-Poly Distinguished Electrical and Computer Engineering Alumni Award during his November 2010 visit to Brooklyn.
Professor Chao, a recognized expert in high-performance routers, is department head and professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He will give a short presentation about his exciting research in the areas of terabit switches/routers, network security, and quality of service in high-speed networks.
