Call for Abstracts - Biological Design: 4th Annual Advances in Biomolecular Engineering Symposium

On Friday, December 3, the Biomolecular Engineering Discussion Group will present the Biological Design: Fourth Annual Advances in Biomolecular Engineering Symposium at the New York Academy of Sciences. It will highlight the recent advances in both protein and nucleic acid engineering, specifically focusing on innovative approaches to tailor molecules with unique functions and architectures. The symposium is highly interdisciplinary and will bring together recognized scientists and engineers who are performing cutting-edge research with core knowledge in physical sciences and engineering. An important goal of the symposium is to highlight the research advances in molecular engineering from academic, government, and industrial institutions by convening and promoting the exchange of ideas. There will be a poster session at the symposium, providing individuals the opportunity to present their research and interact with meeting attendees.

Call for Poster Abstracts

Individuals interested in submitting an abstract for poster presentation, please send an abstract to physicalscience@nyas.org by 11:59 PM Eastern time Friday, November 19, 2010. Include in the subject line “Biological Design.” The abstract should be limited to 250 words in length (Arial, 10 font), and include a summarizing figure. Include all authors and clearly indicate who the presenting author will be and his/her affiliation. Receipt will be confirmed via electronic mail.

Authors will be notified of a decision on Tuesday, November 23. All poster participants will receive a complimentary meeting registration. Students, postdocs and investigators from academia, government and the private sector are encouraged to participate in the poster session.
