At MF Global, James Colburn is responsible for developing futures and options business (execution and clearing) in energy (crude oil, natural gas, gasoline and heating oil). Prior to his current position, he worked at New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and educated oil companies, brokers, and NYMEX floor personnel on trading energy options. Colburn earned a BA in Economics from Southern Connecticut State University in 1978 and an MS in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University in 1981.
His article, “Trading in Options on Futures,” was published in New York Institute of Finance. Other writings include various articles in Energy in the News, published by NYMEX.
