Students working on or who plan to work on campus publications, such as the Polytechnic Reporter and PolyWog, are invited to attend this free seminar to learn how to use the desktop publishing software InDesign.
The 3-day seminar, with hands-on exercises throughout, will start with the basics, like understanding and using the InDesign toolbox and control panels, and progress to more advanced features, such as styles, libraries, and master pages. You'll look at the design process from start to finish: from setting document measurements to packaging files for the printer. You'll become acquainted with all the tools you need to lay out a professional-looking newspaper and yearbook.
