New York City’s Built Environment; Opportunities, Incentives, and the Carbon Challenge
With 950,000 buildings, New York City is defined by its skyline. However, approximately 80% of greenhouse gas emissions in the City come from buildings. Coupled with increasing needs to adapt to a carbon-constrained world, solutions that address the reduction of emissions from city buildings become more critical.
NYU-Poly’s New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy (NYC ACRE) will host this event where attendees will engage with representatives from NYSERDA, the NYC Economic Development Corporation’s Green Sector Group, and Ecological, a start-up business turning sustainability into a profit center. Learn how evolving opportunities, energy efficiency incentives, and auditing solutions are impacting the way New York City approaches energy management in it’s most iconic form: the built environment.
