Student Orientation
The incoming Ph.D. Student Welcome comprises a number of activities and resources critical to ensuring Ph.D. students have the best possible start to their academic journey. In summer, you will hear from the Ph.D. Hub team with more information about the orientation, have an opportunity to ask questions, and will also be invited to all the events taking place as part of NYU Welcome, hosted by the Center for Student Life.
At orientation, Ph.D. Hub Director Vikram Kapila, and Ph.D. Hub Assistant Director Jamie Lloyd share important policies, resources and strategies for success with incoming Ph.D. students. Previous orientations have included a panel discussion with current Ph.D. students, followed by a social gathering for new and current Ph.D. students, staff and faculty.
