Dear 2010 SMARTER Project Applicants:

SMARTER selection committee has now completed the review of all applications submitted for the 2010 cycle. We received many applications from highly qualified teachers from the five boroughs of New York, Long Island, and New Jersey. The 11 finalists selected for the 2010 summer research program have been notified of the committee's decision by email. The finalists are requested to complete and return a signed statement indicating their intent to participate in the 2010 SMARTER program (a copy of the statement has been sent to the finalists). This statement must be received at our office by May 19, 2010. Click here to download the 2010 SMARTER Acceptance Form.

Our project team would like to meet with the finalists on May 19, 2010 (Wednesday) at 4:30 pm to make research teams. This in person meeting is necessary to allow you to meet with various research project faculty and for the research project faculty to meet with you.

We are asking you to kindly confirm by email to us (vkapila@poly.edu) that you will be meeting with us on May 19, 2010 at 4:30 pm.
