Computer Lab

The School of Engineering students, faculty, and staff can use our 775 Jacobs Academic Building computer lab for academic purposes.

Fall/Spring Semester Hours

Monday – Friday = 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday = 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday = Closed

Summer Semester Hours

Monday – Friday = 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday = Closed
Sunday = Closed

Rules and Regulations

Use of the lab is subject to the School of Engineering's Acceptable Use Policy and Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by posted policies will be considered a violation of these policies and procedures provided therein will be applied.

Modifying Hardware

You may not alter systems or their application software.

Food and Drink Prohibited

No food or drink is allowed inside the computer labs. There are no exceptions. This policy protects the equipment from damage and provides for a cleaner environment.

Lab Etiquette

Be courteous to others using the lab and to all lab staff. Return things to the state in which you found them.


Be courteous to others by not monopolizing the available printers. Restrict your printing to files of no more than 50 pages. Print one copy at a time. Do not use the printers as copiers for documents.

Problems and Assistance

If a system is not in good working condition or a printer jams, notify the lab assistant on duty. If a lab assistant is not available, contact the Information Systems Help Desk by calling 646.997.3123, or by sending an e-mail to
