Smart Wearable Bio-Tracker for TeleRehab & TeleMonitoring (GY)

  • Creating wearable technology to help people with disabilities

Logo with "Smart Wearable Bio-Tracker for TeleRehab & Tele-Monitoring"

This project will form a research team that designs and prototypes wearable technologies to be used in homes of patients with sensorimotor disabilities. The technology will enable a remote assessment of motor performance and remote rehabilitative exercising. Also, the project will involve mechatronic devices of wearable actuated systems (such as active orthotics).

The team will research novel means of human-machine interfacing, biosignal measurements, and visualization in virtual reality. Students will search IEEE transactions and conference papers to get the knowledge regarding the state of the art techniques, algorithms, and technologies. Focuses will be on signal acquisition hardware, signal processing algorithms, machine learning, and virtual reality.
